What this means for buyers
Plan for about three and a half years. From October 2026, Q2 2030 is roughly three and a half years away. If you are renting now, budget for rent and your progress-payment interest running side by side over that time.
Know the two dates. The expected quarter is the developer's target. The SPA date is the one written into your contract, and it is the date that matters if handover runs late. Read the delivery clause in the SPA and ask your lawyer how late-delivery compensation is worked out.
Your loan is released in stages. On a new launch you pay interest only on the amount released so far, so early instalments are small and grow as building work moves on. A longer timeline spreads that out.
